Fishing Trips in Canada

We can't even begin to tell you how exciting it is to take fishing trips in Canada.  While the United States can offer a wide variety of freshwater and charter fishing, Canada brings on a whole new experience.

If you want a fishing trip that can give you the best chance to be the best angler you can be, then Canada is where you want to go.

Places like Sooke which is near Vancouver Island is considered one of the world's top fishing spots for Salmon and Halibut.  While this will always be debated, there is no discussion about the fishing in this area.

Charter fishing is king in Sooke, but if you want to go your own way there are several lakes and hidden areas to fish.

Another part of Canada often talked about during fishing discussions is Saskatchewan.  There are almost seventy different types of fish you catch in these waters.

You'll find some of the feistiest northern pike and Artic graylings that are extremely hard to catch. However, the areas most prized possession is the walleye

With a hundred thousand lakes and rivers combined, there is never a shortage of fishing locations.

Canada Fishing Trips Offer Great Angling at an Affordable Price

The country offers some of the best accommodations at low prices.  Combine them with charters, tours, and guides for the best fishing experience you can have anywhere... at an affordable cost.

And the exchange rate for currency has been very favorable for many years.

When you compare the cost of a fishing trip to Canada with, let's say, a trip to Alaska, Canada wins hands down.

Simply put, you get great fishing that will fit into most angler's budget.

So where are the best places to fish in Canada?

The southern rivers and lakes are great areas for walleye even though they are normally charted in deeper waters.  Rainbow trout and northern pike can also be found amongst other roamers in the area.

Even remote streams offer some of the best fly fishing around the country if that is your technique of choice.

Taking fishing trips in Canada definitely will have you on one adventure after another.  If you want luxury then head over to the western side of the country and stay at the King Pacific Fishing Lodge, one of the top Canada fishing lodges.

But, for truly great fishing for walleye and northern pike, Ontario is my favorite location for either a drive-to or fly in fishing trip.

Which leads us to...

Northern Ontario, Canada Fishing Trips

One of the premier fishing areas in the world is in Northern Ontario, Canada. While there are many species to fish for, the most popular are the walleye, northern pike and muskie.

Smallmouth and largemouth bass can be found in the southern parts where the water is warmer, but this is mainly walleye and pike territory.

Some resorts even offer fly-in fishing which is the surest way to catch plenty of big fish. There's nothing like fishing the remote lakes in Canada for great fishing and a sense of adventure.

Make sure to take your digital camera.

And if you don't need all the extra extravagance then take the family to Ontario where there are activities for everyone at a very affordable price.

I should also mention that the people in Ontario are extremely friendly. They will do everything they can to make your fishing trip as fun and successful as it can be.

The good news is there are so many great places to fish in Canada.

The bad news?

Well, once you have the first experience it may be the only place you ever want to go fishing again.

So, don't wait any longer to plan your next fishing trip in Canada.
